Great American Travel: Branson MO Carla Tate BEWARE!

Not resolved

Great American Travel hired me after a very short interview. They promised, training and 9.00 an hour for your first two weeks of training.

Carla Tate the office manager was confident this would work. The next week THEY were closed do to weather and was only open two days which I showed up. NO TRAINING, NO PAY and boy was I surprised. I showed up Monday the following week to find out I would go on straight commission and I had only worked for THREE days.

I calmly told Carla this was not going to be a fit for me or them and again much to my surprise Carla Tate informed me I would not be paid for the days worked. I wasted three days and got paid nothing. BEWARE of the SCAM. Carla Tate will feed you lies and you will walk away with nothing.

She has done it before and the turnover is very high.

In addition you will get cussed at and yelled at all day because they are selling shady products and services.BEWARE!

This is the Worst company. They called my cell phone which is on the do not call list When I explained this to the telemarketer he cussed at me and hung up on me.

I did report this company to the FCC, DO NOT CALL REGISTRY, and THE ATTORNEY GENERAL and would encourage you to do the same.

As for your pay call your local WORK FORCE COMMISSION.PS there is another company with the same name in another state.

The same thing happened to me.I was hired at $9 an hour plus commission, and then lied to after a week of working there and told it is commission or $9.00 an hour.

The real clincher is when she gets on the call line and pretends to have sales after only 2 calls, to make us feel like we weren't working hard enough.

After so many of the would be customers telling me they had tried Great American Travel and been ripped off by them, I could not justify working there anymore and quit.Carla still owes me money.

I agree with the person about Carla Tate. She makes thibgs up as she goes. She has placed countless adds on craigslist claiming to pay 9.00 hr plus commission but once you are working she changes it.This place is a total joke and should be out of business. The labor board was called on them and so they closed "great american travel" then opened back up the next day as"american travel".I guess next they will just have to call themselves "travel"....
